#Repost @dama_zonia • • • • • • Our culture was built upon and benefits from the control of women and a very effective way to control women is to convince women to control themselves. We are taught to loose ourselves in service of others, stay numb, obedient, quiet and small. We have been brainwashed by society into thinking that womanhood is associated with selflessness because selfless women make an efficient society ruled by patriarchy. However, we have progressed and grew more confident and strong; Women now know how to not only be heard and demand respect, but take lead, be bold, loud and defy traditional gender role assignments.
